Create a Facebook Group to Win More Clients

winning clients Jun 11, 2019

Pricing is one of the four ‘P’s of marketing.

Marketing is essential to the success of a business.

It’s also important to know that if you want to win more clients, you need to be seen as the expert in your field. You need to be seen as the best. You can create that reputation through marketing.

You can watch the video here.

Marketing has changed many times over the years. We are seeing huge shifts towards social media.

LinkedIn is a great platform for the accounting profession. Twitter as well. But Facebook is arguably one of the most powerful social media marketing tools.

I used to recommend LinkedIn as the number one marketing tool for accountants. But digital marketing is rapidly changing. Over the last four or five years, Facebook has increasingly become the place to be.

In the future, I imagine it will be something different again. But right now Facebook is the top platform.

As Facebook started to gain traction, everybody became obsessed with creating their Facebook page and getting likes. Entrepreneurs were desperate for likes because getting likes on their page meant that more people were likely to see your posts and your valuable content to demonstrate your expertise.

Then Facebook changed the algorithm.

It’s really frustrating to have spent all that time building a huge amount of likes for everything to just change.

Now, only a small proportion of people (around 4.75%) who like a Facebook page actually get to see the posts. That’s a tiny number. Facebook pages are not as powerful as they used to be.

But, Facebook groups are becoming increasingly popular.

My advice to you is to create a Facebook group if you want to be seen as being an expert in what you do, whether you’re a tax firm, a bookkeeper, or you advise people on growing their business.

You should be building a community, and a Facebook group is much more powerful than a Facebook page.

They are incredibly easy to set up. Then you can use your other social media channels to invite people to join your group. In that group, you can share great content with your community. You can use it for brand building. People are much more likely to see the content in your group than on your page.

You also create a sense of community, particularly when you have a mix of clients and prospective clients in that group all communicating with each other and sharing content amongst themselves.

Your clients may say great things about you and therefore you are also getting free promotions and testimonials.

It costs nothing to set up, and it’s a great way of building a community.
